Hello, my name is Bill armstrong and my wife, Sharon and I are the owners of Forty2 comics.

Forty2Comics began as a dream 41 years ago when I bought my first comic, GI Joe #38, at Rushville Pharmacy. From that moment, I was hooked and haven’t stopped collecting since.

For years, was a comic enthusiast. During my four years in the Navy, stationed in San Diego, I explored every comic shop in Southern California and even a few worldwide. The stores captivated me and I eagerly awaited each new issue.

In 2001, I paused collecting after getting married and stating a family with my wife and our two kids, Lacie and Dean. They became my new story and I lacked the time and money to continue my hobby.

When Lacie graduated, my passion for comics reignited. I wanted to read, collect, and create a space for others who share the same love to come together.

The name “Forty2 Comics” holds special meaning. In “The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy”, 42 in the answer to the ultimate question of life. My late friend Jason, whom I miss dearly, would always jokingly respond “42” to any question. When I was deciding on a name for the store, 42 kept coming up, and I took it as a sign. Forty2 comics is my purpose, my “meaning of life”
